Questions about official Polk County criminal records must go to the government office that keeps the requested file. Court documents are divided between the County Clerk and District Clerk at the Polk County Judicial Center. Sheriff and jail records use separate contacts, while broad county public-information requests can go through the Polk County Public Records Center. The routes below identify the correct starting point. This private reference site cannot receive or fulfill a government records request.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately operated reference site cannot retrieve records, conduct official checks, change a record, or accept an expunction or nondisclosure filing. Contact the appropriate office below.

Need an Official Record?

Polk County assigns each record to the office that created or filed it. Use these official routes:

  • County Court at Law misdemeanors: Polk County Clerk, Suite 265, 101 W. Mill St., Livingston, TX 77351; 936-327-6805; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • District felony cases: Polk District Clerk, Suite 216 at the same Judicial Center address; 936-327-6814; fax 936-327-6851; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clerk also posts Polk nondisclosure forms.
  • County public-information requests: submit through the Polk County Public Records Center, email PIARequest@Polktx.gov, or write Public Records Officer Pam Knighton, 101 W. Mill St., Suite 247, Livingston, TX 77351.
  • Sheriff reports and warrant routing: Polk County Sheriff's Office, 1733 N. Washington Ave., Livingston, TX 77351; 936-327-6810.
  • Jail and current custody: call Polk County Jail at 936-327-6822 or begin at the official Jail Information page.
  • State criminal history: use the Texas Department of Public Safety, Crime Records Division for the public name search or the fingerprint-based personal-review process.

Police incident reports stay with the agency whose officer created them. Livingston Police is 936-327-3117, Onalaska Police is at 372 S. FM 356, Suite 104, 936-646-5676, and Corrigan Police is at 203 N. Collins St., 936-398-2551. A city report, county booking sheet, and filed court case are separate records, so one event may require more than one request.
